New EcoRacing car with the collaboration of Total Planning

Total Planning continues to work with the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de Barcelona, ETSEIB and its Motorsport team on the design of the car that season after season competes in formula student world and the national championship. The team has unveiled its new race car, the ecoRacing for the 2017 season now starting. His first appointment is in Montmeló at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from 23 to 27 August. Total Planning collaborates since 2015 with this school in the machining of some of the parts of the car.

On this occasion, the ecoRacing presents great technical novelties where its new aerodynamics stand out. It is the first car of the project with ailerons both at the front and rear. In addition, the ecoRZ 2017 continues to bet on a 100% recyclable ABS body and optimized hybrid wheels of carbon fiber and aluminum, which favors the reduction of the weight of the vehicle, up to 210 kg. The diffuser has also been optimised with new aerodynamic appendages and in this way, the team expects to cut about 3 seconds in each lap.

With these new improvements and a renewed car, the team wants to revalidate the title of best Spanish team obtained last season in the Formula Student Spain and also continue within the Top 10 of the Formula Student World Ranking – Electric.

From Total Planning we will follow very closely the evolution and results of the new car and we want to wish a season full of success to the entire ETSEIB Motorsport team.
